A strong promoter, supporter and champion of GIS and the Cohasset Center for Student Coastal Research (CSCR), Jeff Donze is retiring at the end of March 2022. While he will continue to feed his passion for weather and climate science working part time, his plan is to spend more time paddling the open seas, hitting the ski slopes and tuning up his game on the tennis courts. He’s also committed to sharing his knowledge and love of GIS with the young people involved with CSCR. (Jeff introduced students and staff to GIS back in the day of ArcMap 3.2! 🙂 )
In honor of Jeff’s career at Esri and his life’s work around GIS, his friends and colleagues invite you to consider making a donation in Jeff’s name to CSCR in support of GIS education and training.
For every $600 raised, CSCR can engage 12 teachers in modestly-stipend training workshops, or hold 4-session GIS training modules for scores of students (via video conferencing).
Check out some of the great GIS work that CSCR students presented in a recent State of the Harbor community forum.
